Concept of Wakeijyuku-West
“Wakeijyuku-West is the self-developing facility
where the students cultivate their human minds through the daily lives.”
・ Strive for wisdom.
・ Train the mind and body.
・Seek for individual’s identity through various cultural studies.
・ To cultivate one’s human mind and vivid characteristics.
- Every student respects each other’s various characters and beliefs.
- Every student encourages each other for human growth.
- Develop leadership by planning and carrying out various events.
- Improve individuals’ manners in society and communication skills.
- Learn to sympathize with others.
The ABC’s of the Community Life
・ Let’s exchange sincere greetings with every appropriate
chance possible.
・ Let’s join various events and cultural activities.
・ Let’s follow “The Rules of the Community Life”.
“The Rules of the Community Life”
1.Opening & Closing
・Gates open and lights turn on at 06:00. Gates close and lights turn off at 23:00.
2.Indicating In or Out
・Name tag should be turned to the black side when in, and the red side when out.
・Notify the Office when staying out or returning to your home country.
・Inform the Office of your cellular phone number and mail-address for emergency.
3.Visitors /Visitors’ Stay
・Notify the Office when receiving visitors in your room.
・Notify the Office when visitors stay overnight. Three nights is the maximum period a visitor is allowed to stay.
・Women to be accepted only between 09:00~23:00. They are strictly forbidden to stay overnight.
4.Private Room Keeping
・Private room are expected to be always tidy and clean.
Electrical appliances should be managed for safety and saving energy.
5.Disposal of Wastes
・All wastes should be classified and disposed in the specified baskets /buckets /places.
・Furniture disposal should be informed to the Office and must pay “Disposal Fee” if necessary.
6.Common Area and Facility Keeping.
・Wakeijyuku/Nishiryoo common facilities/area such as the study hall and lounge must be always tidy and clean.
・Cleaning-duty for the bathroom, lounge, hallway etc. and garbage disposal is carried out in rotation.
7.Drinking/Smoking
・Minor students under 20 years old are not allowed to drink alcohol and smoke.
Enforcing alcohol-drinking is strictly prohibited.
・All Wakeijyuku campus and building including private room are non-smoking, except designated smoking spots.
8.Placard Hanging /Posting
・Any placard hanging or posting in Wakeijyuku campus or building must be approved by the Office.
9.Propagating Activity
・Propagating activities on particular religion, politics or ideology is not allowed.
10.Bicycle
・The “Security Number” of all students’ bicycles should be recorded and registered by the office
to park in the designated lot.
11.Motorcar / Motorcycle
・Motorcar/motorcycle parking in Wakeijyuku campus is generally not allowed.
・Temporary parking for visitors will be permitted by the Office if requested.
12.Mahjong Playing & Golf Practice
・Mahjong playing in Wakeijyuku campus is strictly prohibited.
・Any dangerous play such as golf club swinging is not allowed within Wakeijyuku campus.
・Big noise produced by musical instruments, audios, or shouting is forbidden, especially after 23:00.
13.Meal Time
・Weekdays (inc. Saturday)
Morning = 07:00 ~ 09:00 Evening =17:30 ~ 20:30 (Late meal = ~ 22:50 )
・Sunday , National holidays
Morning = 07:30 ~ 09:30 Evening = 17:30 ~ 20:00 (Late meal = Not available )
14.Bath & Shower Time
・Bath days:April~July = Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday
August = Not available
September ~ November = Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday
December ~ March = Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
・Bath time : 17:00 ~ 22:30
・Shower days : Available everyday
・Shower time : 06:30 ~ 24:00 (Except during cleaning time 22:30~23:00)
15.Internet and LAN System
・Internet and LAN system is managed by the “Network Study Group”.
・Internet users must apply to the Group and pay the prescribed service fee.
・Internet and LAN system should be used in accordance with the Group’s instruction.
16.Use of Wakeijyuku Facilities
・Using Wakeijyuku facilities such as the lecture hall/room and Honkan-hall must be applied to the Office
and utilized in accordance with the prescribed rules.
・When using the Wakeijyuku facilities with outsiders, the prescribed service fee is usually charged.
17.Borrowing Wakeijyuku Furnishings and Equipments
・Borrowing Wakeijyuku furnishings and equipments such as Speaker/Microphone, Video/DVD projector, etc.
must be applied to the Office in advance.
・Usage of the borrowed furnishings and equipments are limited within the Wakeijyuku campus.
Outside usages is not allowed.

・ Every student’s character is shining and reflecting upon each other.
・ Every student realizes his own and fellows’ growth.
・ Community life, generally viewed as troublesome, will become
pleasant and familial in time.
